In order to protect your privacy, all information National Semi-Trailer Corp.^® (“National Semi-Trailer”) collects through its web site at www.nationalsemi.com (“Site”) is used only as described in this Privacy Policy.  This Privacy Policy forms an important part of the Site’s Terms and Conditions.  For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, a “User” means any person accessing, viewing, or otherwise interacting with the Site in any way, and shall be deemed to have agreed to be bound by the terms of this Privacy Policy. In order to enable proper use of the site, Users agree to provide and consent to the Site’s collection, use, and disclosure of certain personally identifiable information (“Information”) as described herein.

Information Obtained from Users

Other than through the possible use of cookies and the collection of anonymous statistical information such as IP address and browser version, the only information about Users that National Semi-Trailer collects through this site is the information Users voluntarily submit to the website for the purpose of obtaining information, making requests, or creating a login profile.

The personal information collected through the Site is used to provide the services that the User requests from the Site.  Currently, the only information that is collected through the site, as noted above, is information voluntarily provided by Users for the purpose of responding to User inquiries, or providing quotes for services.  The information requested by the Site in order to properly respond to such requests includes name, email, company name, address including city state and zip as well as telephone number and fax number.  This information is used solely for the purposes described herein and for no other purposes.  These purposes include fulfilling User requests and responding to User inquiries, but may also include coordinating promotions targeted to Users and to which Users have consented to receive, and for informing Users of important news or changes to the Site, new services and special offers, as well as any warranty, recall, safety or other useful consumer information.

Although existing customers of National Semi-Trailer who possess account numbers and a web access code may access their current account information via the Site, this is not data that is collected or submitted through the site. 

Disclosure of Collected Information

National Semi-Trailer will not disclose or sell any information it collects without your consent unless such disclosure is based on a good faith belief that it is required to by applicable law, to protect its legal rights or to respond to legal claims, for safety reasons, or in the event of the sale and acquisition of National Semi-Trailer or its assets, as described below.

What are Cookies?

National Semi-Trailer does not currently use cookies on the Site, but may choose to do so in the future.  Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that a website transfers to your computer's hard drive through your web browser. Cookies accompany personalized shopping features, allow a website to “recognize” you when you return, and permit the storage of items in your Cart between visits, should this feature be available.

Online access to Users’ personal information is protected with a User-selected web access code. It is strongly recommended that Users not disclose their web access code to anyone. National Semi-Trailer will never ask you for your web access code in any unsolicited communication (including unsolicited correspondence such as letters, phone calls or e-mail messages).

Information Transfer on Sale or Acquisition

In the event of the sale or acquisition of all or part of the assets of National Semi-Trailer, the right to include Information among the assets transferred to the acquiring company is hereby reserved, and Users are deemed to be on notice hereof.
